What's
Up with the New Banner Bar
Banner ads put the "free" in
Freeservers: If advertising supports our upgrades
and improvements, then you don't have to!
In addition to our responsibility to keep
Freeservers both improving and free, we do
realize our responsibility to minimize the
impact of banners on your site and its visitors.
With both responsibilities in mind, Freeservers
has recently implemented a new ad banner area
at the top of your pages. The new banner area
is wider than before, but takes less space
vertically on your page--actually increasing
the amount of usable Web space.

you do not wish to have banner ads on your site,

here for an inexpensive way to get rid of
the banner ads.
A pop-behind ad window has also been implemented.
To minimize the ad window's impact on your visitors,
we designed the banner to pop behind
your site window so it will not interfere with
your site's design. Your visitors should also
get only one pop-behind window, once a month.
This means that there will be little effect
on your site, but it will allow Freeservers
to keep improving.

We
probably cannot remind you enough that if your
Web site is important to you, you should back
up your site to protect against possible disk
errors or other problems. Freeservers makes
a tremendous effort to protect your site against
data loss, but we cannot guarantee that no loss
